우리는 현대 사회를 살아가면서 통치를 받는다고 느끼고 있는가? 혹은 무엇인가
통제 된다는 느낌을 받고 있는가? 그렇다면 먼 옛날 과거의 사람들은 진짜로 통
치를 받는다고 느꼈을까? 그렇다면 그런 존재가 대단히 잘못되었다고 느낀적은
있었을까. 과거나 현재, 다가오는 미래에는 결국에는 어떠한 시스템이 존재하고,
우리는 거기에 맞춰서 삶을 이어나가려고 한다. 무언가 잘못 되었다고 느꼇을때
우리는 시위를 하거나, 반란을 일으켜서 어떻게든 바꾸려고 한다. 결국 다른 존재
로 바뀌는 것에 불과 할지라도.. 밴드 로스 오브 인펙션이 새롭게 발표하는 신곡
'the sovereign'또한 그런 의미를 담아 제작 하였다. 옛날이든 현대 사회이든
결국에는 우리는 '군주'가 필요하고, 잘못된 행보를 이어가면 가차없이 반란과
혁명을 일으켜 왔다. 세상을 바꾸려면 우리 스스로가 '통치자'라는 생각을 해봐야
할 것이다. 무엇을 바꿔야 하는지, 무엇을 그만 두어야 하는지 스스로 느낄수 있게 말이다.
